The daily maintenance and upkeep of laboratory instruments and equipment is an important part of equipment technical management. Its purpose is to extend the service life of the instruments and equipment, maintain their good performance and accuracy, and serve as a preventive and protective measure to ensure the normal operation of experimental instruments and equipment. It is also the foundation for ensuring the normal and smooth progress of laboratory teaching and scientific research. So every qualified laboratory should specify certain rules. Below, we will introduce the daily maintenance and upkeep rules for laboratory instruments and equipment.
Article 1: Each laboratory must establish a strict job responsibility system, develop corresponding maintenance measures based on the characteristics and requirements of the instruments and equipment used, and conscientiously implement them to ensure regular and institutionalized maintenance of the instruments and equipment.
Article 2: It is necessary to strengthen the basic operation training for experimental technicians and students, so that they are familiar with the performance characteristics of instruments and equipment, master basic operation methods, and avoid damage accidents caused by improper or erroneous operation, especially the use of large precision instruments and equipment. The system of holding certificates for employment must be strictly implemented, and it is strictly prohibited for untrained or unqualified personnel to operate large precision instruments without authorization.
Article 3: Instruments and equipment that are in stock, in reserve, or need to be sealed for a period of time due to insufficient tasks should be regularly cleaned, checked, and maintained for dust, rust, and moisture prevention.
Article 4: Maintenance and upkeep regulations for commonly used instruments and equipment.
1. Electronic instruments and equipment
a. Non essential electronic instruments and equipment should be regularly cleaned, dusted, and powered on to prevent moisture damage to the components.
b. Regular part and performance testing should be conducted to understand their technical status and ensure that the instruments and equipment are in good working condition.
c. Devices that use rechargeable batteries internally to maintain their data or programs should be powered on regularly.
2. Laboratory environmental condition adjustment equipment
a. The anti settling filter of the indoor unit and dehumidifier of the air conditioner should be cleaned at least once every two weeks, and the outdoor unit should be regularly maintained and cleaned to improve the heat dissipation effect. This is not only necessary to improve efficiency and effectiveness, but also to prevent overloading from triggering fires and damaging equipment.
b. The ceiling fan and fan in the laboratory should be regularly cleaned, dusted, and lubricated.
